Our facilities

Noosa Sea Scout Group Camping facilities are open to scout, school, sport and community groups year round, and private families and campers at weekends and during school holidays.

Our function is primarily the Noosa Sea Scout Group. However we have a popular and spacious campground and bunkhouse which we make available to groups, families, travelers and community organisations at certain times.

We are not a commercial business; all profits improve the onsite facilities.

We are a quiet, family-friendly campground, not suitable for parties, or unruly behaviour.

  • Government regulations do not allow under 10s on the top bunk so a maximum of 18 under 10s can be accommodated. The beds are properly formed mattresses with covers.
  • Sleeping bags/sheets and pillows are recommended. Mattresses may not be placed on the floor, moved into different rooms or taken downstairs.
  • We do not have a minimum night policy, but do require a minimum of 15 paying people to use the Bunkhouse. Rooms are not sublet to smaller groups or families.

Kitchen and dining area

Downstairs the Bunkhouse is a well-equipped kitchen with a commercial fridge, freezer, cooktop and microwaves.

Some pots and saucepans are provided, personal cutlery, plates etc would need to be brought with you.

There is also a dining/meeting area. These facilities are only available to those who have booked the bunkhouse. If groups want to camp and use the bunkhouse kitchen/dining area, they must book the bunkhouse and pay the bunkhouse rate. They then have the discretion to camp or use the upstairs
bunks or a combination of both.

Elystan House

We also have Elystan House, which can accommodate up to sixteen people in one-room.

Mattresses are provided, but if you require beds or camp beds you should bring them with you.

This facility includes a separate kitchen.

Use of the grounds and privacy

We do not offer exclusive use of the grounds. Those using the grounds should be aware that members of Noosa Sea Scouts, other groups, families, individual campers or contractors may be present.

To address privacy concerns, group leaders can negotiate with the Camp Caretakers a period when the showers are closed to enable their group to use them without third parties being present. This should be done in advance of your stay.

Facilities

We have an ablution block including hot and cold showers, which is shared by those camping and using the bunkhouse.

There is an outdoor covered eating area and BBQs
