14 – 18 years old
Venture Scouts is a do-it-yourself mix of fun and adventure. Where personal challenges bring together like-minded young people aged 14-18 years old, both male and female. Venture Scouts offers a vital breathing space from the pressures of tough school life. The section focuses on friendship and personal growth with the bonus of learning valuable life skills along the way.
As a Venturer scout, you push yourself to the limit and take what you have learnt from previous sections and apply these skills in different ways. The adventurous activities you undertake will be more challenging as you are taught various ways to do things. You will also be expected to teach some of the basic skills to the junior sections, to inspire them.
Venturer Peak Award
As well as the opportunity to earn vocational qualifications related to the adventurous activities you undertake. The peak award can be achieved by completing requirements in Outdoor Activities, Community Involvement, Leadership Development, and Personal Growth. As part of this award, you will organise and plan a 4-day expedition that will test your leadership skills and physical ability.
Venturer Scouts at Noosa Sea Scout Group
Our Venturers currently meet on a Thursday between 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
