Badgers Wood Camp Ground

Our campground is situated on 1.5 hectares of parkland in the middle of Noosaville, 5 minutes’ walk to the beautiful Noosa River. You can access the Noosa River foreshore playgrounds, bike paths, shelter sheds and BBQ’s without crossing a road. The calm water and sandy beaches along the river are very suitable for young children to swim and frolic or learn to canoe. The river is suitable for all water activities with many types of craft available for hire. But if you are after surf Noosa’s world famous beach is only a ten minute bus ride with stops right in front of the grounds. From there you can take one of Australia’s most picturesque boardwalks to the Noosa National Park with trails suitable for anything from a causal stroll along the coastline to challenging orienteering courses. For the more adventurous 4WD enthusiasts the North Shore (40 mile beach) is 20 minutes away .
Badgers Wood has plenty of shady camp sites and a bunkhouse with large commercial kitchen and dining area. Central to all services the campground is within a five minute drive of laundromats, shopping centres, post office, hospital, medical centres, video hire, service station, McDonalds, Red Rooster, a myriad of fast food shops, cafes, restaurants and clubs. Local and intraregional bus routes run past the front gate and a short stroll to the Noosa River Ferry service.

Noosa Sea Scout Group
If you enjoy fun, games, learning new skills and going on adventures in teams of kids your own age then Noosa Sea Scouts has a lot to offer. You’ll learn life-long skills as you progress through the Scouts Award Scheme. But you don’t just to earn badges, you make friends and have fun under the guidance of trained leaders who encourage you to do your best. As you move through the different sections of scouting you can participate in a range of action-packed activities with anything from a small group of 5 scouts alone in the bush to over 10,000 young people at the Australian Jamboree.

One of the few Sea Scout groups in Queensland the Noosa Sea Scouts offers a fantastic opportunity to learn core skills in a range of water activities; in addition to the full array of outdoor recreational pursuits in other scouting group programs. The group has specialist leaders trained to guide youth members through various levels of competency in sailing, canoeing, rafting, navigation, rowing, water and boating safety. As a Sea Scout you will also have a great time orienteering, camping, abseiling, learning bush craft, cooking, and getting involved in community service just like any other scout.
